Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), arrived at Rabat Salé airport on Monday evening for a private visit.
Morocco and the UAE have strong and historical ties that were founded and developed by the late King Hassan II and Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, which have been reinforced by King Mohammed VI.
Previously, King Mohammed VI had described Morocco’s relations with the UAE as fraternal with respect to human relations, regardless of the geographical distance between the two countries.
It is important to mention that the UAE opened a consulate general in the City of Laayoune in November, 2020 in recognition of the full sovereignty of Morocco over its territories.
