The National Police (DGSN) seized 1,195 Kg of cocaine and over 74,800 psychotropic tablets in Bab Sebta border crossing (north of Morocco) on Saturday night, the DGSN said in a release on Sunday.
The police arrested one person, of Moroccan nationality, in flagrante delicto, over the suspicion of involvement in international drug trafficking.
The drug shipment was concealed inside a car carrying a foreign number plate and coming from Sebta. The public prosecutor’s office launched an investigation into the ramifications of this illegal activity.
The police are intensifying their efforts to clamp down on criminal operations, particularly international drug and psychotropic pills trafficking.
