Zambia Economic Promotion Week kicked off on Thursday in Rabat to showcase Zambia’s economic potential in Morocco across various sectors.
During this week, a Zambian economic delegation will meet with Moroccan public institutions, private economic operators, the Moroccan Employers’ Association (CGEM), and sectoral federations in Rabat, Casablanca and Laayoune to develop win-win business partnerships between Moroccan and Zambian companies.
The participants will also have discussions with the Professional Association of Moroccan Banks (GPBM), Casablanca Finance City (CFC) and its business ecosystem, and the Regional Investment Center (CRI) of Laayoune.
The Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI) said in a press release that “the initiative will foster collaborative and mutually beneficial business ventures.”
The event started with a meeting between AMCI Director General Mohamed Methqal and the Zambian delegation, who is on a working visit to Morocco until June 28. The Chargé d’Affaires from the Embassy of the Republic of Zambia in Rabat participated in the meeting held at AMCI headquarters.
Led by Director-General of the Zambia Development Agency (ZDA), Albert Halwampa, the Zambian delegation includes President of the Zambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ZACCI) Anthony Kabaghe and senior officials from Zambia’s public and private sectors.
