Spain’s Center for Intelligence Against Terrorism and Organized Crime (CITCO) Manuel Navarrete praised the ongoing collaboration between Spain and Morocco in the security field during the 10th anniversary of CITCO.
Navarrete emphasized the strength and consistency of the partnership saying: “The cooperation between the Police, the Guardia Civil, and Spanish security forces, in general, with their Moroccan counterparts is very good and constant.”
CITCO’s head added that this partnership is important in addressing a range of security threats, especially organized crime, terrorism, and clandestine migration.
He stressed the importance of collaboration in combating illegal migration. “The fight against irregular immigration is a key area of this sustained bilateral cooperation,” he noted.
The Spanish official deemd the model of collaboration established with Morocco as valuable and should be duplicated with other countries.
