Noussair Mazraoui, a Moroccan international footballer, has been nominated for Manchester United’s Player of the Month after just two appearances.
Mazraoui joined Manchester United this summer and has quickly impressed with his talent in a short space of time.
In his two matches to date, Mazraoui demonstrated strong defensive skills and contributed offensively, including an assist against UK team Brighton. Mazraoui’s performances also included crucial interventions and solid defensive play.
Against Fulham, he showed confidence with multiple interceptions and tackles. His second match saw him neutralize Brighton’s attacking midfielder Kaoru Mitoma effectively. During the same game, Mazraoui also provided an assist to Amad Diallo.
The player joined Manchester United from Bayern Munich on August 13, 2024, under a five-year contract lasting until 2029.
The transfer fee for the Moroccan full-back was £12.9 Mln (USD 16.9 Mln), with an additional £4.3 Mln (USD 5.6 Mln) in bonuses.
Manchester United’s innovative move is part of its commitment to ensuring Mazraoui has all the necessary support to excel in his new environment.
Fellow team members, Amad Diallo and Alejandro Garnacho are also nominated for the Player of the Month award alongside Mazraoui.
Diallo, starting all three games in August, impressed with assists and goals, notably against Brighton.
Garnacho scored in the Community Shield and provided a crucial assist against Fulham, contributing significantly without a start.
