The Abu Dhabi Police praised Morocco’s notable achievements in national security under the leadership of Abdellatif Hammouchi, Director General of National Police (DGSN) and Territorial Surveillance (DGST), during a meeting on Friday. Recognizing Morocco’s adoption of international best practices in law enforcement, the UAE highlighted the growing cooperation between the two nations in the field of security.
Lieutenant General Saoud Abdallah Al-Khalidi, Deputy Director of Abu Dhabi Police, welcomed Hammouchi and the Moroccan delegation, discussing shared advancements in security measures and special forces training. The meeting underscored the strategic partnership between Morocco and the UAE in enhancing policing and military security practices.
During the visit, the Moroccan delegation explored Abu Dhabi’s innovative security technologies, including artificial intelligence and data management systems used to improve public safety and road management. These technological advancements, including smart surveillance systems for road infrastructure, were showcased as part of the ongoing collaboration.
Hammouchi’s visit, from September 23 to 26, also led to the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Morocco and the Saif Bin Zayed Academy, marking a key milestone in expanding joint police training and experience sharing. The agreement aims to build security capabilities through collaborative efforts.
Additionally, Hammouchi met with Major General Faris Al Mazrouei, Commander of Abu Dhabi Police, to strengthen operational security cooperation, and Ali Obaid Al Dhaheri, Head of the UAE National Intelligence Service, to discuss regional and global security challenges.
