Swedish police arrested an individual on Monday for breaking into the Moroccan Embassy in Stockholm, hanging an LGBTQ+ flag from a shattered window. Armed with a knife, the intruder scattered papers and wrote messages on the walls before being apprehended.
Authorities quickly secured the area and caught the intruder who had barricaded himself inside one of the rooms.
The man, believed to be in his twenties, faces multiple charges, including illegal entry, vandalism, and endangering people and property.
Sources close to Barlaman reported that no embassy staff were harmed during the incident, though a passerby sustained minor injuries from broken glass.
Swedish authorities are continuing to assess the situation and maintain security around the Moroccan Embassy in Stockholm.
