The President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Fouzi Lekjaa hosted a reception to celebrate the achievements of the national futsal team players, who reached the quarterfinals of the Uzbekistan FIFA Futsal World Cup, at the Mohammed VI Football Complex on Tuesday.
Lekjaa congratulated the players for their exceptional level of play and said that “certain details are decisive in their pursuit of the world title.”
“The FRMF has launched several projects to promote national football and become a leader regionally, continentally, and internationally,” he said.
The Federation’s Head highlighted the high expectations of Moroccan supporters and urged futsal officials to develop a practical work program to advance the sport, as Morocco prepares to bid for the next World Cup.
Hicham Dguig, Head Coach of the national futsal team, thanked everyone for the warm welcome upon their return from Uzbekistan. He also discussed the challenges faced by the team during the competition.
Morocco’s team captain, Soufiane Mesrar, commended the FRMF for providing optimal conditions for the team and called for further efforts while preserving past achievements to face future challenges.
