Morocco’s Foreign Affairs Minister Nasser Bourita inaugurated the newly renovated consular section of the Moroccan Embassy in Washington on Tuesday.
The renovation will provide a modern and efficient consular service to meet the needs of Moroccans living in the United States.
“The enhancement of consular services is Morocco’s top priority, addressing the increasing expectations of our community for effectiveness, speed, and efficiency,” the Minister said during the opening ceremony.
The upgraded consular facility features a complete modernization of its infrastructure and facilities. It incorporates the latest information and communication technologies to expedite the processing of administrative documents, such as passports and national identity cards.
The refurbishments focus more on user experience, with the creation of a modern reception area and a well-equipped waiting room.
Morocco will also inaugurate a new Moroccan Consulate General in Miami, Florida to further strengthen Morocco’s consular presence in the United States and provide even more accessible services to Moroccan citizens in the southeastern region.
“Moroccan nationals are encouraged to visit the consulate or consular service of their choice, where they will receive assistance with all requested services,” the Moroccan Embassy in Washington said.
