The qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) U-17 football competition will begin on November 9-24 in Morocco’s Casablanca, according to the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF).
The AFCON U-20 qualifiers will also run from November 12-27 in Egypt, FRMF announced.
Morocco’s U-17 and U-20 teams will start their campaigns on November 11, first competing in the North African Football Union (UNAF) tournament before qualifying for the AFCON.
In its UNAF’s opening match, Morocco’s U17 squad will play Egypt on November 11 and then take on Tunisia on November 17, followed by Libya and Algeria on November 20 and 23, respectively.
The U20 national team will face off with its Egyptian counterpart on November 14, followed by Tunisia, Libya, and Algeria on November 17, 20, and 23 respectively.
The top two teams in both age groups will advance to the final stage of the Africa Cup of Nations, following the qualifiers’ round-robin format.
