Morocco’s national cycling team will participate in the African Road Championship, scheduled to take place from October 9-13 in Eldoret, Kenya.
The men’s team includes Achraf Ed Doghmy, Adil El Arbaoui, Mouhcine El Kouraji, El Houçaine Sabbahi, Driss El Alouani, and Ibrahim Sabbahi.
Cyclists Marouane Kharbouchi, Yassine Mahah, Mohamed Abdallaoui, and Aymane Aït El Karma will represent Morocco in the junior category.
The women’s team is comprised of Salma Hariri, Malika Ben Allal, and Chaimae Zakraoui.
Former champion Abdelaati Saadoun, along with assistant Meriem Rahmouni, will lead the national team in the competition.
The African Road Championship events will take place in Eldoret, which is situated at over 2,500 meters above sea level. Individual time trials for all categories will occur next Wednesday, followed by the mixed relay time trial next Thursday.
In preparation for the significant continental event, the Royal Moroccan Cycling Federation prepared a two-week training camp in the city of Ifrane.
